Boo!

Happy Halloween!

Granted it's not my most favourite time of year (I'm a big scared-y-cat!),  but the little one loves to dress up.

Busy, busy Monday as normal but wanted to do a quick post to wish you all a Happy Halloween.  How do you celebrate?  Because the little one loves to dress up, but is a bit of a wimp like her mum!  We have been going down to my Mum's and my Aunt's for trick or treat for the last 6 years, that way we can guarantee she won't see anything that will keep her up all night.

I am baking some cakes for this evening, I don't normally but the goodies you can get to decorate Halloween cakes is great......

Ooooo! What will they look like?! I will share the pics tomorrow.

We have our trick sorted (normally I'm hopeless to think one up), little one trapped her nail in the toilet door at school about a month ago and now her nail is lifting.  I think it is only hanging on by a thread but she will not let me touch it ~ it is so gross.  So if family want a trick tonight they can have 'The Curse of the Black Fingernail'
Believe me you wouldn't want to catch it, bless her she has been so brave.

Hope you all have a great and safe evening tonight.
See you all tomorrow.

Phew! A day off!!

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog.

I have had a fantastic day off today, and to be honest it just keeps getting better.

Myself and my sister took the little one to the aquarium today down in Plymouth.  A little pricey but a great morning out.

We saw some great sea life, some of the photos are poor because we obviously couldn't use the flash.

Including the sharks

Abigail being our tour guide, she went not so long ago on a school trip ~ so she knew everything lol!

Then when we got home I checked my emails, and my Christmas cards are flying out ~ Yippee! Always makes you feel great, to think that someone actually wants to purchase MY hand made cards.

All packaged and posted.  With my new gorgeous mini business cards, that my lovely postie brought for me along with another little package.

I am now ready for my next cross stitch project......

I have also noticed I have gained quite a few new followers, thank you so much for joining me it is very much appreciated, hope you enjoy what you see.

Told you it had been a good day, maybe I could push my luck and get some card making in this evening or tomorrow =D

Thank you for popping by my blog, I hope I didn't ramble on too much.

What a mess ...........

Hi everyone & welcome to my blog

Today I'm taking part in WOYWW, although the shame should be to much to even open the door.

The computer & diary are ready to get today's orders out the way, so I can then crack on with the pile of stuff to the right... of which I am not quite sure what is in amongst it!

Piles of made cards, magazines, blank cards, tape measures??? of yes I am measuring up for a new bird cage for my Zebra Finches (Tom & Babs), Christmas gifts/cards packaged ready to list in my store.
As you can see just in the far right bottom corner the mess has even crept onto the floor (yes I do hang my head, and I can't quite believe I am disclosing all of my mess, lol!)

Best get going, I have until 4.15 today as the little one has Drama club after school.
Thank you for popping by, I will be having a snoop around all of your lovely inspriational work desks tonight xx

Acetate.. The sheer thought frightens me!

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog.

A huge 'hello' to some new followers, thank you for joining me.

Today's card is for the following blog challenges:

Totally Papercrafts ~ Use Acetate.
Meljen's Designs ~ Challenge 80 use a ribbon
Polka Doodles~ Ribbons & Bows

Materials used:

Papermania aperture cards (I made the aperture larger to fit image).
Winsor & Newton Inks
Black Butterfly peel off.
Anita's gems
Acetate
Ribbon from crafty stash

The thought of this challenge was a nightmare, to be honest I was going to completely avoid it.  I have never used acetate on my cards and the sheer though terrified me!

But I had a bit of a play.......

I think painting the peel off version works best for me, I just wasn't quite happy with the other two.  Can't put my finger on what I don't like about them, I suppose just well out of my comfort zone.

Well I have tried something new today, what about you?  Have you tried anything new lately? Put yourself out of your comfort zone.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog
Hope you all have a great weekend
