Wishing You All A Very Merry Christmas......

I would like to take the opportunity of this quiet spell between work and the final preparations of the 'big' day to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

There isn't much crafting going on around here at the moment due to work being so busy in the Christmas Madness.  Getting last minute orders processed in time for our useless postal system to try and jokingly attempt to delivery them on time
(can you tell the emails have started already, headed 'Where is my item')

I have one thing to share and that is my little ones Christmas present to her teacher 'Mrs Williams'.  She decorated it all by herself (with only a little help).

Hope you are organised and not stressing out to much with the huge lists of things to do.
I do love this time of year and can't wait until this evening when work commitments get turned down a notch or two and I can start to get very festive.

I hope you all have a truly magical day

Getting organised....

As I'm sure you have all guessed by now I do have Christmas running through my blood, I love every single part of it.  But I do tend to get a little stressed out as each year work is getting bigger and busier and now my craft is kicking off.  That's without keeping house and making Christmas happen.

So I thought I would get myself organised.
Another love of mine is lists, so I thought I would combine the two.

In my latest issue of Papercraft Inspirations there was this little project...

I instantly got onto the internet and ordered a few items to create my own ~ perfect!

So this is my version....

Folder, refills from Paperchase
Months download available from Papercraft Inspirations
Poinsettia ~ Wild Orchid Crafts
Paper,Santa topper ~ First Edition papers ~ Festive treat & Christmas Joy
Ribbon ~ crafty stash

Sorry the photo's are so dark ~ there is definitely not much light around in Devon this morning.

I am hoping that this little Christmas organiser will help me get organised at this busy period and will be added to and prove very helpful in years to come.

It really does get so crazy here that I am next year starting early (maybe a lot earlier than most of you would like to hear) possibly doing a bit all year round, but I have to if I want to pull it all off and enjoy the holidays.
Last year I ran myself into the grown trying to do everything and ended up with flu over Christmas ~ well not again!

I am entering my organiser into the following challenges:

Allsorts challenge ~ Anything but square
Cupcake Craft Challenges ~ Textalicious
Winter Wonderland ~ Make your card sparkle ~ technically I know it's not a card, but it is Christmas and it sparkles with the glittered paper.
Craft Your Passion ~ Anything goes PLUS Brown

Thank you for popping along

Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

I'm joining in with the lovely Julia over at WOYWW  today.  I'm currently working on some designs for my own Christmas cards, I have my gorgeous new Derwent Inktense pencil set out (that hubby treated me to on our hols).  My watercolours on standby ~ not quite sure what medium to use maybe a bit of everything.

A bit of a sneaky peek... and that's all your getting for now =D

I want to have a bit of a shout out..... I ordered some patterned felt at the weekend from the lovely Emma over at Sew Sweet and it arrived yesterday.

They are absolutely gorgeous, and fantastic quality.  Not only was I super excited and the creative juices were flowing, but there was also an extra little surprise in the package.......

In amongst the goodies was buttons, and I love buttons.

Thank you so much Emma for a fantastic service, and I would highly recommend her website to anyone.  I'm now eyeing up some pom pom ribbon/trim and polka dot buttons ~ so why not pop along now to Sew Sweet and take a look yourself.

After opening the felt I just had to get making, so yesterday I made a little padded heart and hair clip

and the ideas keep coming... I'm thinking there may be a brooch and some cards on tomorrow blog.

Thank you for popping along.

Halloween cupcakes

Hope you had a great evening last night, our bat girl had great fun.  The curse of the black fingernail worked, she must have past it on as her nail finally came off~ Yippee!!! She has been so brave, as it kept catching on everything but would not let me near it to help.

So we enjoyed a lovely evening down my Aunt's with my mum and my gorgeous little niece who came along dressed as a witch (so cute she's only 7 months old).  Everyone enjoyed their cakes.

Bat girl slept well, after a night out flying........

With her very serious bat pose lol!

Only 54 sleeps until Christmas ..... How exciting.  I'm afraid it's all Christmas from now on, my card sales are going through the roof and I am getting a lot of private/direct enquiries about them which is so exciting.  You'll get to realise that I could 'do' Christmas all year round, I love it.  I not actually sure who gets more excited me or the little one =D.

But them I am an 'Elf' xxx

Boo!

Happy Halloween!

Granted it's not my most favourite time of year (I'm a big scared-y-cat!),  but the little one loves to dress up.

Busy, busy Monday as normal but wanted to do a quick post to wish you all a Happy Halloween.  How do you celebrate?  Because the little one loves to dress up, but is a bit of a wimp like her mum!  We have been going down to my Mum's and my Aunt's for trick or treat for the last 6 years, that way we can guarantee she won't see anything that will keep her up all night.

I am baking some cakes for this evening, I don't normally but the goodies you can get to decorate Halloween cakes is great......

Ooooo! What will they look like?! I will share the pics tomorrow.

We have our trick sorted (normally I'm hopeless to think one up), little one trapped her nail in the toilet door at school about a month ago and now her nail is lifting.  I think it is only hanging on by a thread but she will not let me touch it ~ it is so gross.  So if family want a trick tonight they can have 'The Curse of the Black Fingernail'
Believe me you wouldn't want to catch it, bless her she has been so brave.

Hope you all have a great and safe evening tonight.
See you all tomorrow.

Phew! A day off!!

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog.

I have had a fantastic day off today, and to be honest it just keeps getting better.

Myself and my sister took the little one to the aquarium today down in Plymouth.  A little pricey but a great morning out.

We saw some great sea life, some of the photos are poor because we obviously couldn't use the flash.

Including the sharks

Abigail being our tour guide, she went not so long ago on a school trip ~ so she knew everything lol!

Then when we got home I checked my emails, and my Christmas cards are flying out ~ Yippee! Always makes you feel great, to think that someone actually wants to purchase MY hand made cards.

All packaged and posted.  With my new gorgeous mini business cards, that my lovely postie brought for me along with another little package.

I am now ready for my next cross stitch project......

I have also noticed I have gained quite a few new followers, thank you so much for joining me it is very much appreciated, hope you enjoy what you see.

Told you it had been a good day, maybe I could push my luck and get some card making in this evening or tomorrow =D

Thank you for popping by my blog, I hope I didn't ramble on too much.
